Upper Gambles, St. John's, Antigua

Lil Feet Big Steps Daycare & Preschool is a locally owned early childhood and care facility located in Upper Gambles. Established in August 2017, we believe that Lil Feet Big Steps is an extension of the home. We help to mold each child’s character through high quality care and instruction including teaching hands-on skills that can be used at home.

Our teachers believe that we are a big part of motivating your young ones to learn and grow. They demonstrate an admirable love and concern for all children and teach them values such as honesty, responsibility, kindness, love and respect. All teachers are fully trained in Early Childhood education, CPR, First Aid and also possess Food Handlers certification.

We use the Combine Thematic and Abeka curriculum and also offer additional activities to keep your young ones engaged, including Arts & Craft, Baking & Cooking, Music & Movement, Field Trips and more. Our Meals Program is optional an provides healthy, nutritious sustenance daily.

ENROLLMENT PROCESS

The admission procedure works as follows: A meeting with the school's owner and the parent(s) is arranged. During this time the parents receive a tour of the facilities, receive information on the rules and guidelines of the Daycare and Preschool and, in the case of Preschoolers, discuss the Curriculum and which class their child will be in.

We accept children from the ages of 3 months old to 4 years old. We require the following documents:

  • Original and Copy of your child's Birth Certificate

  • Your child's Health Card

  • A Non Refundable Fee of EC$50

OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Our hours of operation make it convenient for parents to drop off and pick up their young ones in a stressless setting. We open Monday - Friday (not including local public statutory holidays):

  • Daycare: 7:15am - 5pm

  • Preschool: 8:30am - 4:30pm

Parents may drop off their Preschoolers as early as 7:30am.

Our class sizes are intimate. These small classes allow our teachers to spend more time teaching and less time trying to hold the attention of children who are easily distracted. Our limited class sizes also enable teachers to make better assessments of class progression.

We consider it a privilege to serve you, the parent. We welcome your respectful comments and input. Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions or concerns. We are more than happy to assist.
